Samsung sets 28 September One UI 9 date for Galaxy S25 and Z7 in Thailand
Samsung has now put a date on One UI 9 for Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 owners: 28 September 2026. The date comes from Samsung Thailand, making it an official local schedule rather than a confirmed worldwide deadline.
The rollout sequence
Samsung’s regional notices do not use one timetable. The US and Canadian announcements cover the Galaxy S26 family, while the Thai notice extends the schedule to the S25 line, 2025 foldables and the S23 FE.
The dates put the S25 series and both seventh-generation foldables in Thailand’s next announced wave after the S26 series. The S23 FE is the only additional older model given a later window there.
What remains unconfirmed
The 28 September date is not a global schedule. Samsung’s US announcement gives no date for pre-S26 phones, and its Canadian notice also stops after the S26 rollout. The Thai announcement does not list the Galaxy S24 or standard Galaxy S23 series, so it gives no official date for either family.
The software change
One UI 9 is based on Android 17. Samsung began the stable S26 rollout on 16 September 2026; Thailand then assigns the S25 and Z7 devices to 28 September. Outside Thailand, the cited announcements provide no matching confirmed date for those models.
